Melbourne Community Care Van

Join members of the Order of Malta with their Community Care Van in giving out specially designed winter coats, personal care packs, which include antibacterial wipes, socks, oral hygiene items etc., to people experiencing homelessness on a pre-determined schedule around Melbourne CBD.

Frequency of service:

– Every Tuesday night (rostered volunteers)

 

Volunteer requirements: 

–  Police check

–  Working with Children Check

– Signed Safeguarding Code Of Conduct

–  Regular driving license preferred but not essential

–   Minimum 18 years of age

 

Other information: 

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. Volunteers will be provided with tabards to wear and identify as Order of Malta volunteers.

The running costs of the Order of Malta Community Care Vans and the items distributed are funded entirely by donations.

The Australian Association
