Launch of “About Bioethics V: Faith, Science and the Environment”

06/09/2017

On Tuesday, 8th August, the fifth and final volume of Confrere, the late Professor Nicholas Tonti-Filippini, series on bioethics  was launched at the Cardinal Knox Centre of the Melbourne Archdiocese by His Grace, Anthony Fisher OP, Archbishop of Sydney, a friend of the Professor when they were lecturers together at the Australian Catholic University.
His Grace noted that this last volume by Nick explored the relationship between humanity and the environment in the light of contemporary science and a Christian understanding of creation and redemption. In launching the book, His Grace spoke of his personal relationship with Nick and the late professor’s role as mentor to him.
The launch was attended by Nick’s wife Conseour Dr Mary Grant, members of his family and a number of members of the Order.
