Good luck to our Creating Leaders students who are sitting final exams

22/09/2024

Good luck to our Creating Leaders students, Agario, Valeria and Lucio, (pictured from left to right) who will sit their final exams in October.

All three children joined the program in 2022 and have shown great commitment to their studies. They are extremely grateful for the opportunities the scholarship program has given them and are working hard to perform well in their exams.

“As I prepare for the national exam, which will take place in October 2024, I am committed to continuing my studies diligently. I am organizing my study time and working collaboratively with my peers to ensure we are well-prepared as a group. I am also dedicating time to maintain my skills and responsibilities as a student, putting in the effort to demonstrate my commitment to learning.”

Agario S. Guteres

In Timor-Leste, 23% of secondary age children in Timor-Leste are not in school and there is a clear income disparity between those who have completed schooling versus those who have not. On average, one more year of education in brings a 10 per cent increase in an individual’s earnings. Each additional year is associated with an 18 per cent higher gross domestic product per capita.

Thank you also to our the project donors who have enabled these children to complete their education and the opportunities this will now give them.

Sponsoring a child in the Creating Leaders Program costs $100 per month and is tax deductible for Australian taxpayers.
