Timor-Leste Medical Clinic – 2025 Annual Report
The Ordem de Malta Timor-Leste Annual Report 2025 is now available to download
2025 Highlights:
- 15,058 patient engagements
- Mobile Clinic outreach bridged the healthcare gap for 2,721 patients in the nation’s most remote regions
- New outreach location to the Manufahi Municipality, approximately 5-6 hours from Dilli, providing critical care to 435 patients
The ongoing challenge – sustaining the clinic
While there is much to celebrate, we continue to face the ongoing challenge of funding the day-to-day operation of the clinic, which remains open five days a week providing free primary healthcare.
It costs almost $19,000 per month to operate the clinic and outreach services. This equates to approximately $15 per patient engagement, including consultations, vaccinations, nutritional supplements, medical materials, and essential medicines.
Securing this funding each year remains an ongoing challenge.
To ensure we can continue providing uninterrupted care to the people of Timor-Leste, I ask you to consider becoming a monthly supporter of the clinic. Regular giving allows us to plan with confidence and ensure that no one is turned away.
For example, a monthly donation of:
- $45 supports 36 patient engagements per year
- $100 supports 80 patient engagements per year
- $200 supports 160 patient engagements per year
Every contribution makes a real difference. By committing to a monthly pledge, you help ensure that this vital service can continue reaching those who need it most.
To enter into a monthly donation arrangement, you can do so online by visiting our secure clinic donation page on our website. Alternatively, please contact our Office of Communications on 02 9331 8477, and we will be pleased to arrange this over the phone.
Gifts of all sizes are gratefully received. Please give what you can to help us continue providing essential healthcare to those most in need.
