Welcome to our new Creating Leaders student

22/04/2024

Welcome to our new Creating Leaders Scholarship student!

Jessica is 15 years old and is the eldest of four siblings. She is currently in the 10th grade is a promising student with aspirations to become a doctor.
Due to illness her father is unable to continue working and her mother’s modest income selling water and biscuits is barely sustaining the family. They are already relying on family support to meet their rent and food bills and are unable to continue paying Jessica’s school fees.
Creating Leaders is an Order of Malta scholarship program in Timor-Leste. The Scholarships support underprivileged children to continue their education. Jessica’s acceptance into the program will enable her to complete her last three years of studies at her current school.
Jessica would join the eight other children in the program. The scholarships cover the students school fees, uniforms, transport, and lunches. Like Jessica, they all show great academic promise and come from low-income families with multiple siblings. Without the support from the Creating Leaders scholarship, these students would be unable to continue in formal education.
Sponsoring a child in the Creating Leaders Program costs $100 per month and is tax deductible for Australian taxpayers.
