At Philermos House, there are a range of meaningful volunteering opportunities where you can make a genuine difference in people’s lives. Each day, we provide comfort, support, and essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness or facing challenging circumstances.

Ways You Can Get Involved
- Preparing and serving meals
- Making tea and coffee
- Assisting with laundry and clothing services
- Greeting visitors and providing support
We offer several pathways to get involved:
- Individual Volunteering – If you are a member of the local community who wants to make a difference, and can offer a compassionate ear to guests, we would love to hear from you.
- Corporate Volunteering – Opportunities for organisations and teams to give back while building connection and purpose through community service.
- Student Placements – Hands-on experience for students completing university or TAFE qualifications.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Hold a valid Blue Card, or be willing to apply for one
