Vice President Daniel Kwok honoured with Papal Knighthood

On Thursday 12 December, our devoted vice-president, Confrère Daniel Kwok, was created a papal knight in the Order of Pope St Sylvester. The honour was delivered by His Grace, Archbishop Fisher of Sydney, who spoke elegantly of the reasons why honours of this nature are awarded and how they should be regarded by other members of the Church.
This very well-deserved recognition came not only from Daniel’s work for the Order of Malta, but for his other wonderful contributions to the Church’s work over many years, particularly through his parish and his work for the Sisters of St Joseph.
The Order of Malta has benefited from his skills in promoting our spiritual development and his abilities in business management, communication and organisation.
Congratulations Daniel on this well-deserved honour.
