That’s a wrap! Another semester of Read to Learn

Yesterday we wrapped up our third Read to Learn program at Preston Nort East Primary School.
The school community continues to appreciate our support with Annie Neville, Acting Assistant Principal, sharing this message: “I was so impressed with the tutors’ generosity, commitment and professionalism. Most of the students participating in the program don’t have support for reading at home (for all kinds of reasons), so the extra practise you provide is invaluable.”
The Read to Learn program assists the school in building the reading capacities and good study habits of primary school children who may not have the opportunity to read at home with their parents and/ or whose parents speak English as an additional language.
Order of Malta volunteers tutor (one to one or small group) primary school student(s) to complete reading and maths activities.

We are now recruiting for Semester 2 tutors to continue this great work.
