Members Honoured in 2016 Australia Day Honours list

Congratulations to those distinguished members of the Australian Association who were honoured in the 2016 Australia Day Honours List:

Consoeur Mrs Maria Myers AO, made a Companion of the Order of Australia for eminent service to the community through philanthropic leadership in support of major visual and performing arts, cultural, education, and not-for-profit organisations, and to the advancement of the understanding of Indigenous rock art.

Confrere Mr Allan Meyers AO QC, made a Companion of the Order of Australia for eminent service to the community through philanthropic leadership in support of major visual arts, higher education, medical research and not-for-profit organisations, to the law, and to professional learning programs.

The late Confrère Professor Nicholas Tonti-Filippini made an Officer in the Order of Australia for distinguished service to tertiary education, particularly in the area of bioethics, through academic leadership and advisory roles, and to medical research.

Confrere Mr Stephen Elder awarded a Medal in the Order of Australia for service to the Catholic Church in Australia, and to the community of Victoria.
