"Make Lent Count" Campaign
This Lent, make it count by sharing a simple meal with a Syrian refugee child.
During the 40 days of Lent, we are called as Christians to develop a closer relationship to God through prayer, giving up, and giving back. We pray for a better world, and give up unnecessary things to remember what is really essential in life. Just as important is giving back to those who most need our help, practicing compassion and generosity, and so following in Jesus’ footsteps.
This Lent, make it count: every Friday until Good Friday, exchange your regular meal for a simple bowl of rice or vegetable soup, and donate the money you would usually spend on that meal to feed a hungry refugee child in the Middle East.
This is a project the the Order of Malta’s Worldwide Relief Agency, Malteser International. Donations can be made directly through the Malteser International website.
