Order of Malta Australia

Jacket for Life distribution in Seoul on the coldest day of the year

On 28 December 2018, the coldest day in Seoul recorded this winter, Order of Malta Korea President, Silvano Yongmaan Park, together with the project champion, Anna Yura Choi, distributed 47 jackets to the homeless staying in the underground walkways near the Korean Chamber of Commerce building.

Silvano noticed there were ‘regular’ neighbors living in cardboard boxes and suggested we provide the jackets for them, too. Our small group of members and volunteers were escorted by the local police officers and heated up many hearts in this freezing night.
