Ahead of Easter, members of the Order of Malta in Darwin have donated over 50 copies of YouCat for kids, for distribution through the Diocese office.
YouCat, short for Youth Catechism of the Catholic Church, is a publication that aims to be an aid for youth (and parents) to better understand the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The book is drafted in conversation format and consists of 527 questions and answers.
The original concept originated from two members in Europe, quickly gained popularity and has now been published in 25 languages and distributed around the world.
The NT group were pleased to gift these books, that will to distributed between O’Loughlin College, Catholic Education and Holy Spirit Primary School with the blessing of Bishop Charles Gauci and Fr Malcolm Fyfe, Vicar General.
A second consignment is also on its way for further distribution.
