The Cathedral Parish of St Christopher Canberra has released a moving instalment of its Faith in Five interview series featuring our late Conf. Peter Evans.

The Faith in Five series invites members of the parish community to reflect on what their faith means to them through five questions. Peter’s interview was recorded just weeks before his death and offers a particularly poignant insight into the faith that sustained him throughout his life and during his final weeks.

Speaking with characteristic honesty and humility, Peter reflects on the importance of his Catholic faith, the experiences that shaped his spiritual journey and the role that service has played in his life. He also speaks about his involvement with the Order of Malta and the way the Order’s mission of faith and service resonated with his own vocation.

As we remember Peter, his words provide a beautiful and lasting testimony to a life grounded in faith, service and compassion. His reflections are a reminder of the profound difference that a life of faith can make, both to the individual and to those fortunate enough to share their journey.

We give thanks to God for the gift of Peter’s life and for the example of faith and service that he shared so generously with others.
