Order of Malta Australia

Darwin Food Service for the Homeless

Saturday 28th of January, the Northern Central Region resumed its food service for the homeless in Darwin. Order of Malta members and volunteers, successfully prepared and delivered 54 hot meals in the inner Darwin city.

Despite the wet weather, the service was provided to the homeless congregated under awnings. Our volunteers came to know a few of them and listened to their life stories.

Through the year, the Order of Malta intends to extend the food service in the greater Darwin area.

Donations to the service of $2 and more are tax deductible for Australian taxpayers and can be made online using our secure payment facility.
