Coats for the Homeless – 2024 distribution locations

Our 2024 Coats for the Homeless distribution is underway. This winter will  distribute 4,000 Coats and Care Packs to homeless Australians.

Please continue to visit this page as we add new distribution locations.

Note: we cannot guarantee availability as supply is limited!

NSW

  • Every Monday and Thursday 5.15 – 6.45pm – Sydney CBD, Order of Malta Community Care Van. Locations on rotation include (but are not limited to), Woolloomooloo (near Matt Talbot Hostel), Central Station and Martin Place.
  • Every Monday, 5.30 – 7.30pm – Parramatta CBD, Parramatta Order of Malta Outreach Team. Route starts at Alfred Park, travelling down Church Street to Parramatta Train Station and then return  to St Patricks Cathedral.
  • Every Wednesday 6.30 – 7.30pm – Order of Malta Community Care Kitchen Bondi, St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 2 Wellington St, Bondi.
  • Three Fridays across June, July and August at 7:30-8:30pm – Partnering with Reach Homeless Services, Clocktower 111 Beaumont Street Hamilton
  • Three Saturdays across June, July and August at 6:30-7:30pm – Partnering with Catholic Care, Civic Park, Newcastle
  • Three Saturdays across June, July and August at 7:00-8:00pm – Partnering with Reach Homeless Services, Maitland City Library, 480 High Street Maitland

NT

  • Alice Springs – distribution of blankets and Coats between June- July.
  • Daly River, Emu Point– Distribution of blankets and Hygiene Bags in the second weekend of June.
  • Darwin – distribution of blankets in August.

QLD

  • Brisbane: Every Tuesday 7.00am to 12.00pm and every 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month 9.00am to 12.00pm at Emmanuel City Mission, 19 Merivale St, South Brisbane.
  • Gold Coast: Angels’ Kitchen every Sunday 3.00 pm to 4.00pm Community Centre, Lawson St, Southport
