Care pack distribution continues in Melbourne

22/11/2021

Member and South Eastern Region OMV co-ordinator Alexander Ross KMG headed up the weekend care pack distribution to the homeless in Melbourne on Sunday night.

Numbers of homeless in Melbourne are certainly back with large numbers congregating together where they can find care. Every single care pack that was prepared was accounted for and currently it seems that the more we have, the more we give away.

We are also still handing out some coats as the nights are fresh and cold currently. One recipient of a coat this week swapped out a threadbare edition he had received from members over two years ago that was a vital part of his sleeping plan. He relied on our design to protect him from the cold and wet during all this period.

Alexander also had the pleasure of overseeing our youngest volunteer yet with Mary who is a daughter of one of our members. Under the strictest of supervision, our 12 year old helper had the opportunity to see and hear about life for those that are not as lucky as we are.

You too can support the project may making a tax deductible donation.
