Order of Malta Australia

A family affair – three generations assist at Bread for the Weekend

In April 2019, the Bread for the Weekend project completed three services to underfed seniors who attend Myung Hwi Won.

One of these services was particularly special. On 25 April, Theresa Yoosun Chung who serves as auditor of the Order of Malta Korea, invited both her mother Maria Moonim Lee and her 13 month old daughter Lauren Kim to Sisters of Mary to pack the 300 breads. The scene was extremely touching as three generations spent the whole day serving those in need.
