QLD Members celebrate a capacity advent mass and dinner

19/12/2018

On Thursday 13 December, Members in Queensland celebrated with over 80 attendees a Spirit filled Advent Mass celebrated by Bishop Ken Howell our Conventional Chaplain, and concelebrated by our Magistral Chaplain Fr Gerard McMorrow, and Fr Anthony Mellor.

Immediately following Mass a capacity crowd of 84 attendees were treated to a first-class dinner coordinated by Fr Gerard and his team from Our Lady of the Angels Parish.

In attendance were the majority of the region’s Knights and Dames of Malta, special guests Dr Monica Thompson, President of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre and her husband David, Sandra Micallef, honorary Maltese Consul and her husband Michael, Dr Ian Marshall President of our Order in Australia and his wife Judith, Young Order of Malta Volunteers, friends, families and even a guest Confrere in attendance from the Central Eastern Region, together with several other invited guests.

It was an outstanding night to celebrate this wonderful season and also to reflect on, and celebrate our works and successes over the past 12 months.

This annual event hosted by Fr Gerard McMorrow and the North Eastern Region continues to be a highlight for Members and guests
