A Celebration of Faith and Service: The 4th Investiture Mass and 10th Anniversary of the Order of Malta Korea

02/11/2025

On the Solemnity of All Saints, the Order of Malta Korea (OMK) celebrated a momentous occasion — its 4th Investiture Mass, during which four new members were formally welcomed into the Order’s spiritual family.

The Holy Mass was presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Andrew Yeom Soo-jung, with H.E. John Murphy, President of the Order of Malta Australia serving as Delegate of the Grand Master .

The Order of Malta was also deeply honoured by the concelebration of Fr. John Ki-seok Pak, OMK Chaplain; Monsignor Giovanni Bicchierri, Counselor of the Apostolic Nunciature; and Fr. Berard Christophe, of the Paris Foreign Missions Society.

With this Investiture, the Order of Malta Korea now counts 19 members, each committed to the Order’s timeless mission, “Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum” — to defend the faith and serve those in need.

Celebrated on such a sacred feast day, the Mass carried profound meaning for the community. It was a moment of grace and unity, shared not only among our members but also with their families and friends, whose presence made the occasion truly complete.

Following the Mass, our Korean members marked another historic milestone — its 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner, commemorating a decade of faith, compassion, and service.

Held in the Belle-Vue Suite of the Lotte Hotel Seoul, the evening gathered more than 90 distinguished guests, including clergy, members, benefactors, volunteers, and friends, all joined in a spirit of thanksgiving and fraternity.

The gala featured heartfelt reflections on the Order’s mission to serve the poor and defend the faith, as well as expressions of deep gratitude to all who have walked alongside OMK throughout this remarkable journey.
