Volunteer

Jubilee 2025

The Holy Father has asked the Order of Malta to volunteer to provide medical assistance to pilgrims during the 2025 Jubilee in the four Major Basilicas in Rome and in St Peter’s Square.

Doctors, nurses/paramedics, and non-medical volunteers all welcome.

Dates and times: Half a day (either 7:30am to 1:30pm or 1:30pm to 7:30pm), each day for a week, from Saturday to Saturday, in the period of 15 December 2024 to 11 January 2026.

Location: Rome, Italy

Volunteer requirements:

  • If volunteering as a doctor or as a nurse/paramedic, must maintain licence.
  • All volunteers must make own way to and from Rome at own expense.
  • Accommodation and meals are intended to be provided.
  • Volunteering is in teams of four, 1 doctor, 1 nurse/paramedic, and 2 helpers.
  • Volunteers can form own teams
  • English required – no need to speak Italian.
