Order of Malta Australia

President Douglas leads Members and OMV’s service at ECM, Qld

Report: Joseph Grogan

The Order of Malta Volunteers (OMV) in Brisbane continue serving people in need through different ministries, including supporting the Emmanuel City Mission (ECM).

President Justice James Douglas KHD and North Eastern Regional Hospitaller Danny Higgins KMG led Members, Candidates, Volunteers and friends in preparing and serving ECM’s free breakfast and lunch for over 50 people in need. We appreciated sharing meaningful conversations with many.

ECM offers a “Daytime sanctuary for the homeless and vulnerable – Bringing hope and healing to those who need it most”.

OMV encourages young adults to share the joys of “Caring for People in Need – Together”. Get involved in our outreach, including a Spring Camp for Differently-Abled Young Adults.
