Order of Malta Australia

Order of Malta in Brisbane share inaugural First Friday of the Month Vigil Mass

Thursday 3rd February, 2022 saw the inaugural First Friday of the Month Vigil Mass for the North Eastern Region, Order of Malta. Ten Members along with family, friends, and parishioners joined with Magistral Chaplain, Fr Gerard McMorrow in the Chapel of St Stephen’s Cathedral Brisbane for this Eucharistic celebration. This Chapel dedicated to St Mary of the Cross MacKillop is a wonderful location for our Order, given our charism of Service to Our Lords the Poor and the Sick so closely reflects the quote, “Make no reserves with God. Reject no one. You never know what grace can do.” (Mary MacKillop 1871). The Vigil for March will be at the same location at 6.00 pm, Thursday 3rd March celebrated by Conventual Chaplain ad Honorem, Bishop Ken Howell.
