Order of Malta Australia

North Eastern Region Advent Mass and dinner

Wednesday 15th December saw over 25 Members and Volunteers come together with Conventional Chaplain ad Hororem, Bishop Ken Howell for the North Eastern Region Advent Mass and dinner. Bishop Ken spoke of care being the first outreach Our Lord Jesus showed to people he ministered to, before teaching or miraculous cures. From this, it was an obvious reference for the Order of Malta, in performing our service, to always care for Our Lords the Poor and the Sick as the starting point of all that we do.

Following Mass, the group moved on to enjoy dinner at a local café to celebrate a year of welcoming six new members, commencing the wonderful Emmanuel Outreach and planning for the Southport Community Care Centre in 2022.
