Mother’s Day: Order of Malta in Brisbane serve over 100 meals through ECM

08/05/2022

Celebrating Mother’s Day, the Order of Malta in Brisbane helped to prepare and serve a special bacon, egg and sausage BBQ to over 100 people, through the Emmanuel City Mission (ECM) Homeless Sanctuary.

Volunteers from the Order of Malta, ECM and the Australian Catholic University (ACU) worked happily together in providing welcoming meals, friendly conversations and urgent hygiene or clothing items to people in need.

ECM Director Roby Curtis conveyed how grateful the attendees were to the Volunteers for dedicating meaningful time on Mother’s Day to share a special meal and mutually uplifting rapport with the local community.
