Latest Pharmaceutical delivery to clinics in Timor-Leste

04/04/2013

The Australian Association’s is in the process of delivering another pharmaceutical consignment to medical clinics in Timor-Leste. These facilities provide primary medical care for a significant number of Timorese in underprivileged urban and isolated rural areas.

The provision of pharmaceuticals at no cost, allows the Timorese from rural areas to receive treatment that would otherwise not be possible.

Donations to this project are optimised with Members of the order co-ordinating their efforts to not only purchase the medicines at discounted wholesale prices, but also sourcing warehousing and transport services at little or no cost. These significant savings mean that donations to this project go towards the medicines that are so desperately needed by the people visiting these clinics.
