Order of Malta Australia

Order of Malta volunteers add barista duties to their ECM services

On Sunday, members and volunteers of the Order of Malta added barista duties to toast, BBQ, and companionship at Emmanuel City Mission (ECM) homeless sanctuary in Brisbane.

Guests considered themselves respected as their requests for cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites are served for free from a variety of five different healthy milk alternatives. The addition of watermelon and sweet and savoury pastries added to the choice available, and the joy experienced by all in attendance.

The Order of Malta Volunteers assist at he food service  on the second and fourth Sundays of every month.

Thank you to Consoeur Dymphna’s reconstituted team for the services and friendship provided.
