Day of the Sick – members provide equipment and food to elderly and sick

Members of the Order of Malta Thailand visited the elderly and the sick on Monday 15th February as part of the 29th Day of the Sick at Bua Yai district, Nakorn Ratchasima some 380 km from Bangkok to donate much needed equipment and food.

The Order of Malta, together with the local pastor Fr.S omkid and Caritas Thailand team delivered two wheelchairs, floor mattresses, protective plastic sheets, portable toilets, shower equipment for the disabled, pampers, food and hygiene sets.

The donated goods will be distributed to 3 provinces under the care of Caritas in the coming days. All live in isolated rural communities in dire poverty.

The Australian Association
