Change in auditor

22/05/2023

Earlier this year, the Australian Asssociation of the Order of Malta received notice, that due to widespread industry resourcing constraints our appointed auditor was no longer in a position to conduct our annual audit work.

The Executive Council, assisted by the members of the Audit & Risk Committee, conducted a tender search for another suitable audit firm. The firm chosen was Hall Chadwick in Queensland who agreed to act on the same terms as the outgoing auditor. This was reviewed and agreed by resolution at an Executive Council meeting, subject to approval by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC). The change in auditor has now been approved by ASIC, and we are required to give notice, as set out below.

Details of the outgoing auditor:

Grant Thornton Audit Pty Ltd

Eric Passaris

Level 22, Tower 5, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne 3001

Details of the incoming auditor:

Hall Chadwick QLD

Mark Taylor

Level 4,240 Queen Street, Brisbane, QLD 4001

The reason for the change in auditor:

Resigned as auditor. No disagreements between outgoing auditor and management and directors of the Australian Association of the Order of Malta Ltd.
