Canterbury League Club Supports Coats for the Homeless

10/07/2014

Canterbury League Club has generously supported the Order of Malta’s ‘Coats for the Homeless’ program by donating $2,000 in 2014.

“Coats for the Homeless is a worthy cause and we are pleased to be able to support the Order of Malta with its humanitarian aid work. Our donation will buy 60 specifically designed, warm, shower-proof coats” Said Dr. George Peponis OAM, Canterbury League Club Chairman.

For three years running the Canterbury League Club has supported the project and their donations have meant 180 people who sleep rough on the streets of Sydney have benefitted from our specially designed winter Coats.

$100 will buy three specially designed winter coats for the homeless.
