Ave Maria di Lourdes: In memoriam of the Grand Master

03/05/2020

A touching tribute in loving memory of Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, Prince and 80th Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta who died on April 29 in Rome.

As if in Lourdes, pilgrims from around the world have joined together to dedicate this “Ave Maria” to our beloved Grand Master who will remain among us, in our hearts and prayers.

The video was made by the Lebanese Association and includes representatives from the Asia-Pacific region.

To pay final respects to the 80th Grand Master, the funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11.00 am (Central European Time)* on Tuesday May 5 by Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, Special Delegate of the Holy Father to the Sovereign Order of Malta, in the presence of the Grand Master’s sisters, brothers, and members of the Sovereign Council. The funeral will be lived streamed from the Order of Malta website: www.orderofmalta.int

*11.00 Central European Time is 9pm New Zealand Time, 7pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, 6.30pm Central Australian Time and 5pm Western Australian Time on Tuesday 5 May.
