A visit to the House of Angels

23/06/2014

On Saturday the 21st June, Members and friends of the Order of Malta, visited  The House of Angels some 40 minutes drive from the heart of Bangkok.

The morning commenced with mass at the small chapel of Our Lady of Mercy, presided by Fr. Carlo where 17 Members and friends attended.

Afterwards, a short drive from church the group met Sr. Angela, a remarkable Italian woman who undertook to help severely handicap children. They are looked after by Sr. Angela and  three house mothers, in a modest yet loving home-The House of Angels.

It was a beautiful experience to see how happy the children are, and what a wonderful gift they are to our society regardless of their disabilities.

The members and friends donated 30,000 baht in cash (A$1,000) and also an assortment of gifts to assist Sr. Angela and the children.
